This program will help you to better understand the easy ways you can use simple videos to increase brand awareness, grow your business, and announce yourself to the (Digital) world.
In this interactive course you will give hands-on experience creating your own promotional videos, and will learn:
- The importance of promoting yourself using simple, personal, videos
- Tips on how to present yourself naturally on camera
- Create engaging content using just your phone and a free app
- Work with other professionals in your area and receive feedback on your work
- Once you have created your video, this will lead you to the next sessions in this series
PRESENTER
David Rokos, Senior Video Editor, Argonne National Laboratory | Adjunct Professor in the Motion Picture/Television Department, College of DuPage
From producing feature films with international distribution, to running the video production department at the largest national laboratory in the United States, David Rokos has created relationships and exceptional videos on every level. The Chicago native has over fifteen years of experience filming across the country, managing production studios, and teaching at the collegiate level.
After building, growing, and managing a full video production department at the largest real estate association in Illinois, Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS, for seven years, Rokos is now the Senior Video Editor for Argonne National Laboratories. In his new role, Rokos has managed and produced videos for the Department of Energy, FEMA and his work has been viewed by the president and the senate. Rokos has worked hard to improve upon the already excellent content Argonne is producing with video, and is extremely excited to be a small part of the amazing work that gets done at the lab every day.
Prior to working at Argonne and Mainstreet, Rokos ran the video department for OpticsPlanet.com, gaining 4 million views in a single year that translated to over $10 million in sales. Rokos also has produced several short films and a feature film, “The Girls on Liberty Street,” that premiered at the Chicago International Film Festival, played around the country, and has international distribution through Indieflix.com.
