About the Role

Ride Assist Naperville connects senior residents in our community with volunteer drivers who provide free/low-cost transportation to medical appointments. As a business professional, you already understand the value of reliability and showing up for your community. This is a chance to bring that same commitment to a neighbor who needs it.

Why This Works for Busy Professionals

• Sign up only when you're available. Accept ride requests that fit your calendar. We ask you give one ride at least every three months. No set schedule that you choose.
• Short time investment, real impact. Most rides take 2 hours round trip, easily fitted between meetings or during a lighter week.
• No long-term commitment required. Drive once a month or several times a week, it's entirely up to you.
• A meaningful way to represent your business in the community, reinforcing your company's local presence and values.

What You'll Do

• Provide a safe, friendly ride to a senior resident for an appointment
• Assist with getting in and out of the vehicle if needed (minimal help like holding the door or folding their walker)
• Offer friendly companionship and conversation during the ride

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and insured, reliable vehicle
• Pass a background check
• Warm, patient demeanor with older adults
• Offer two personal references
• Attend a 1-hour in-person training session
