More Than 170 Years of Farming Heritage
The Keller family's farming roots in Naperville date back to 1852. Today, five generations of the Keller family have continued that tradition, with a sixth generation already learning the family business.
Keller's Farmstand officially began in 1991 after Frank Keller IV returned from serving two years in the Peace Corps in Lesotho, Africa, where he worked with local farmers to improve crop production and agricultural practices.
When he returned home, Frank started growing vegetables and selling them from a simple cart in the family's driveway on what is now Knoch Knolls Road in Naperville. As customer demand grew, that cart became a small farmstand, which eventually expanded into the Naperville Farmstand that continues serving the community today.
Following major road construction through the Naperville farm in the late 1990s, the Keller family relocated its primary farming operation to Oswego.
In 2007, Keller's opened its larger Oswego Farmstand along Johnson Road. Today, the Oswego farm serves as the family's primary growing operation, producing bedding plants, sweet corn, vegetables, apples, and pumpkins throughout the year. Keller's proudly operates as a three-season farm, welcoming visitors from spring through fall.
A Family Tradition Continues
As a family-owned and operated farm, Keller's Farmstand remains committed to providing fresh, high-quality produce while continuing a farming tradition that spans more than 170 years.
Whether you're stopping in for homegrown sweet corn, seasonal produce, or simply to experience one of the area's longest-running family farms, the Keller family looks forward to welcoming you this summer.
