Presented by the NACC Young Professionals Network (YPN). Young Professional Network Quarterly programs are designed to be a quick departure from your daily routine that gets you back to work before that inbox or to-do list piles up. Join fellow young professionals and grow professionally through a tailored development program to build your knowledge or skills, while connecting with others. Lunch will be provided prior to program ensuring you are back on the road by 1pm!


Join the NACC in welcoming a panel of not-for-profit executives as they give insight into what it takes to serve on a not-for-profit board and identify the best ways to get involved and make a difference in the community. Learn more about local not-for-profits and what NACC has in store for it's Annual Volunteer Week the following month. Lunch will be provided - see you there!

As Vice President of Agency Advancement, Jason is responsible for planning, organizing and directing all of Little Friend's fundraising, including the major gifts program, annual fund, planned giving, special events and capital campaigns. The Vice President works closely with the President/CEO and the Board of Directors in all development and fundraising endeavors.


Julie Kornak

Julie Ann Kornak is a Co-Founder and Executive Director of BrightSide Theatre. As a native of Chicago’s suburbs, Julie has been surrounded by theatre and music her whole life. From an early age, she began studying voice and was classically trained for 15 years.With her BA in Psychology & Sociology and a minor in Theatre from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Julie brings not only her love for the theatre but a background in Human Resources to the BrightSide Theatre.




Nina Menis

Nina Menis has worked in advancement for both public and private P-20 educational institutions, in association management, and for area not-for-profits for over 30 years. She most recently directed the Annual Giving program at the College of DuPage. Previously Ms. Menis also served as Director of School Advancement for Science & Arts Academy and as the Executive Director of the National School Foundation Association. From 2010-2013 she helped support the A+ Foundation and a collaborative community initiative with West Aurora School District 129, “Aurora Regional Pathways to Prosperity”, in partnership with Harvard Graduate School of Education and Jobs for the Future. She also served as Director of Community Relations at Naperville School District 203 (Oct. 2003–July 2010).

Arthur is a self-described TED fanatic, has led workshops and spoken at TED, and is the founder and curator for TEDxNaperville. He has coached hundreds of TED/TEDx speakers with over 40 million YouTube views and growing. His passion for TEDxNaperville is to drive impact in the community. He founded Lab Z, an agency that focuses on a new approach to innovative experiences. He has created authentic engagements within organization's culture, brands, events, and customers. His influence extends to revered institutions, including lecturing engagements at the Kellogg School of Management and SEGAL Design Institute, Northwestern University. His most recent innovation, Swarm Effect™ speaking, presents a paradigm shift for busy executives. This methodology distills the essence of the most compelling TED talks, enabling leaders to elevate their corporate communications from routine to remarkable, ensuring that every presentation resonates with authenticity, impact, and captivation.
