CityGate Grille Marks the Season with Outdoor Dining and Events: Beyond the Barrel, A Maker’s Mark Bourbon Event, plus New Wine & Cheese Patio Menu
In addition offering to its seasonal, evening patio menu, Naperville steakhouse CityGate Grille is lighting up the night with robust bourbons and smoked cocktails complemented by savory bites at “Beyond the Barrel” a special outdoor event, 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, on its spacious patio.
Specialty cocktails featuring Maker’s Mark will be offered along with a “Beyond Bourbon” menu for those who favor beer or wine: A selection of Goose Island barrel-aged stouts and The Federalist Cabernet Sauvignon—bold and full-bodied with flavors of blackberry, black cherry, cassis, and cinnamon, aged for 15 months in oak—will be poured.
Passed appetizers will include bacon-wrapped scallops with bourbon glaze, filet sliders with caramelized onions and garlic aioli, peach & honey mascarpone bruschetta with bourbon drizzle, Jamón Ibérico Manchego & pear skewers, and prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella with balsamic glaze.
Each guest also will be entered to win a Beyond the Barrel Signature Set including ingredients to make Old Fashioned cocktails at home featuring Eagle Rare Bourbon, two CityGate Grille rocks glasses, premium bitters, candied orange peels and sugar cubes.
Throughout the season, CityGate Grille also offers patio seating during evening hours Monday through Saturday with an exclusive Wine & Cheese sampler menu priced at $25.
