Overview: The Event Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing logistics for the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce’s events and programs. This includes overseeing committee-driven initiatives, programs, and general Chamber events while ensuring alignment with organizational goals while delivering a high-quality experience for Members.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning and Execution Tasks:
- Logistics Management:
- Negotiate with and secure contracts for vendors, venues, and all on-site event details.
- Develop detailed event timelines and ensure seamless day-of execution.
- Budget Oversight:
- Track and manage event budgets to meet financial goals.
- Collaborate with sponsors to ensure benefits are fulfilled before and during events.
- Abide by the invoicing and deposit processes in place.
- Participant and Member Engagement:
- Recruit and engage participants for programs and events.
- Serve as the main point of contact for attendees, ensuring a positive experience.
- Onsite Management:
- Coordinate staff checklists to ensure event readiness.
- Organize and pack materials needed for events.
- Oversee onsite event execution to ensure smooth operations.
- Event Requests:
- Act as the primary contact for managing event form requests.
- Handle in-house catering requests, including TEAM lunches.
- Assist with staff events and general event-related needs.
- Metrics and Continuous Improvement:
- Collect and analyze attendee feedback after each event to evaluate success.
- Use event metrics to identify areas for improvement and refine processes.

- Other Responsibilities as assigned.
Office Hours & Location: This is a hybrid role with a combination of in-office and remote work. Some early-morning, evening, and weekend commitments will be required. Light travel within the region may be necessary for venue/vendor visits.

Event Attendance: This position is required to attend all Signature Events
