Description

Every owner should want to get a handle on employment relationships. The process of managing employee and independent contractor relationships may have long-lasting implications for a business. Legal guidance in these areas of business ownership is worth every bit of time investment needed.

Join us as employment disputes expert, Brian Dougherty, discusses the following topics:

Employment Agreements

At-will employment versus guaranteed term of employment

    Compensation and deductions therefrom

    Non-competition and non-solicitation clauses

    Trade secrets and confidentiality

    Other material terms

Employee Handbooks

    Why have a handbook?

Items that should be in every handbook

Items that are recommended but are not necessary

Items that can be included but are not always necessary

Yearly or periodic reviews to ensure handbook is up to date
