NACC's monthly Lunch with a Leader series highlights one local Leader in a friendly, sit-down atmosphere. Sit side-by-side community leaders and fellow chamber members around a king's table as we learn about the professional and personal journey of our leaders over a plated meal. Registration is required as we are unable to accommodate walk-ins with limited seating.

THIS MONTH'S LEADER

Naperville Fire Department

Lieutenant Bill Kostelny

24-year fire service veteran beginning in 2001 as a part time Firefighter/Paramedic with the Romeoville Fire Department.  Bill advanced from Firefighter/Paramedic to Lieutenant in 2008 and spent a total of 14 years with the Romeoville Fire Department as a part time employee.  He was hired as a Firefighter/Paramedic with Tri-State Fire Department in 2001 and worked there 2 years.  He was hired in 2003 as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Naperville Fire Department.  Bill was promoted to Lieutenant in 2015.  Bill holds an Associates in Fire Science from College of DuPage.  Current areas of department involvement include CART (Community Advocate Response Team) leader, SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) and respiratory protection team leader, UAS (drone) team leader, Assistant team leader for the Water Rescue Team, EMS bike team leader.  Bill serves as a member of the Illinois UAS (drone) advisory board.

Bill lives in Naperville, Illinois with his wife, Carol and their two children, Ava (15) and Mesa (12).
