NACC's monthly Lunch with a Leader series highlights one local Leader in a friendly, sit-down atmosphere. Sit side-by-side community leaders and fellow chamber members around a king's table as we learn about the professional and personal journey of our leaders over a plated meal. Registration is required as we are unable to accommodate walk-ins with limited seating.

Christopher Mason is the chef-owner of Allegory, a farm-to-table restaurant in downtown Naperville, and a restaurant lifer by any reasonable definition. With 40 years in the industry, he has worked across countless concepts, cuisines, and business models — long enough to know what works, what doesn’t, and why most advice sounds better than it performs.

Before opening Allegory in 2018, Christopher spent 17 years consulting for independent restaurants, helping owners navigate growth, reinvention, and survival in an industry that rarely offers second chances. He is known for being candid, passionate, and refreshingly direct — qualities that sometimes make him a bit unconventional in business circles, but always genuine.

Christopher has been married to his wife Martha for 20 years and is the proud father of four grown daughters. When he’s not in the kitchen, he values a quieter life at his place in Wisconsin — a counterbalance that keeps him grounded, curious, and unafraid to speak plainly. He believes the most meaningful work happens when you care deeply, question assumptions, and refuse to pretend you’re someone you’re not.
