Part-Time - Marketing Coordinator                                              

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt

Reports to:  Community Development Director

 

Position Overview:

Naperville Community Television (NCTV17), an award-winning nonprofit community television station, is looking for a part-time Marketing Coordinator to join the team.  This position will include both in-office and remote working hours, up to 25 hours/week.


Primary Responsibilities Include:

 

Scheduling

Manage a system for scheduling all Sponsor commercials, ads, and logos within NCTV17’s television shows and website according to their individual client sales contract.

Update the sponsor advertising on the website and within Mail Chimp email system each week

Work with the individual show producers/editors to ensure all on-air messaging is executed as planned


Manage a system to schedule and deliver all of NCTV17’s marketing communication – both internally and externally.

Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure all messaging is executed as planned within both the station’s internal platforms as well as external media channels.

 

Administrative

Assist Marketing Manager in managing and updating external marketing platforms such as Google My Business, Charity Navigator, Yelp, etc.


Responsible for administrative tasks on the website including adding/deleting new users, updating forms, adding job listings, shop products, etc.


Assist Marketing Manager by monitoring social media engagement including messaging, commenting, inviting people to follow, etc.


Responsible for gathering monthly analytics for marketing department reports and creating appropriate charts and graphs to communicate key insights


Manage the NCTV17 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database and actively research and add new target segments


Responsible for creating targeted lists for Mail Chimp e-blasts using the CRM database


Assist Marketing Manager and Community Development Director in station event marketing


Assist with additional project work, as needed.

Core Competencies Required:

Exceptionally well organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated


High level of proficiency with both Microsoft Office and Google Office suites, including ability to create and manage databases, produce graphs and charts, create PowerPoint presentations, etc.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with frequently changing variables


Strong communications skills, including face-to-face as well as through written emails, phone calls, etc.


Proficient in learning new technologies


Knowledge of, and experience with, WordPress websites a plus


Knowledge of, and experience with, Mail Chimp e-marketing a plus


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communication or public relations

Valid Illinois driver’s license


Experience:

Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience post-college
