NACC's monthly Lunch with a Leader series highlights one local Leader in a friendly, sit-down atmosphere. Sit side-by-side community leaders and fellow chamber members around a king's table as we learn about the professional and personal journey of our leaders over a plated meal. Registration is required as we are unable to accommodate walk-ins with limited seating.

David Miller, a native of Naperville, began his career in Hospitality in 1995 with the opening of Chef By Request catering. His full-service culinary and event planning company has now served Naperville and the surrounding Chicagoland area for more than 27 years with exquisite events and off-premise catering services.

For the first 18 years, David led his culinary team to excellence winning the 2004 American Culinary Federation’s President’s Award – in 2011 winning the Naperville small business of the year award – a winning episode of TLC channels 4 Weddings in 2012 – and, in 2013 was inducted into the Les Amis d’ Escoffier Society as a lifetime member.

David continues to expand Chef By Request as a leader in off-premise catering and event planning services. Today the company’s goals focus on new trends, community partnerships, and unprecedented attention to detail.

In 2017 David’s passion for success led him on another Hospitality quest when he opened the first-ever downtown Naperville riverfront events venue, Elements at Water Street.  Located on the 2nd floor of Hotel Indigo Naperville Riverwalk, Elements is an organic contemporary masterpiece of event space for all occasions. Boasting 5-star reviews across the board for their impeccable culinary team and service accolades.

Most recently David’s focus has been directed toward new relationships and development opportunities. He completed two terms on the Board of Directors for the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, President’s Circle member for North Central College, and Hospitality advisory board for the College of DuPage.
